New Dating Site On The Scene

There’s a new dating site on the scene and it’s just for us! KinkCulture.com, has some great features and takes dating and relating to a higher level of interactivity. Along with it’s new mobile version, KinkCulture.com includes unlimited user media uploads, hosted blogs, event calendars, forums, and more for fetish folks on the prowl for new relationships and community building.

The Learning Series: Footstocks

Footstocks are feared by all slaves, who have ever experienced them. They are extremely restrictive and not entirely without risk!

Footstocks are quite extreme torture. All the slave can do is stand and usually even the slightest movement will torture her ankles. She has to stand and has to stand STILL. Knowing you have to stand completely still makes it twice as hard to actually do that.

There is a risk. If she falls, she WILL break her ankles. While you can easily prevent that from actually happening be securing her to the ceiling with a rope, that will not take the fear away. Besides, since any movement will immediately hurt her ankles, that fear is re-enforced several times per minute!

If you plan to have a session with footstocks you MUST make sure her body is sufficiently secured so she cannot fall and her legs can never make a fatal angle to the stocks themselves. The potential risk of broken ankles and legs is VERY serious and you may cripple her for life if you do not secure her. Especially any action that will create contact between the board and the front of the legs is extremely painful. That may very well spark counter reactions that are entirely unpredictable, hence securing is a must.

Even if you are a hard sadist, don’t think that securing her will take any of the cruelty out of the situation. It will not. In fact, it will signal that she, although safe, is probably going to be in this demanding and humiliating position for a long time, which – to her – will only make things worse. Her genital area is fully exposed and ready for either torture or sexual stimulation. both of which will trigger movement and as a result: pain.

And there is another thing to consider: it more than a little likely that the skin will be chafed. Lining the hole with leather will prevent most of this, but bruises are likely to be the result no matter how hard you try to prevent them and the ankles and legs will be sore for several days after, especially if it is going to be a long session.

The final thing bear in mind: standing for a longer period of time may invoke fainting. That is not what you want to see happen to a slave in footstocks, so observe your slave at all times. Secondly, standing with the legs apart may be very demanding for people with (previous) back and hip injuries.

Tops – Bottoms – Switches

One perception that some people can have, looking into the scene from outside, is that people are either tops or bottoms. Either you like to dominate, or you like to be dominated. And sometimes novices become confused, because they’re excited by _both_ possibilities.

The facts are, everyone is different, and everyone has their own preferences. I personally greatly enjoy topping my girlfriend, and also greatly enjoy submitting to her. Some people _are_ tops in every play situation, just as some are bottoms in every play situation–but I know people who top men but bottom to women, people who sometimes switch roles multiple times within one date, and every other spectrum of possibility!

People who top are called “tops,” people who bottom are called “bottoms,” and people who switch back and forth between topping and bottoming are called “switches.” A switch can be a top in one scene and a bottom in another. Some people switch back and forth often; others switch only between scenes, but retain one role throughout any individual scene; others switch only very seldom with people that they trust very deeply; and still others never switch at all.

If you do switch, and you’re not sure which role you want, you can play with that question in itself. Whole scenes can revolve around the “who’s on top?” question. Maybe you can have a wrestling match, and the person who gets pinned first will wind up being tied up. Maybe you can set a timer, and when the timer dings, it’s time to switch positions! There are as many possibilities as your imagination can dream of!

Then again, maybe only one side of the balance holds any appeal for you, and in that case, you’ll want to play with folks who have little desire for _your_ side… it takes all kinds, and all kinds are out there.

It is also the case that there is no necessary relation between whether someone is dominant or submissive in everyday life and whether they are a top or a bottom. Some of the most domineering executives secretly love being abased and abused… it’s a chance for them to lose control, to give up responsibility. And some of the most quiet, meek, shy-looking people you’ve ever seen turn into demonic geniuses of pain and pleasure when given someone to play with.

It’s not at all unheard of for someone who’s done only one thing (for example, bottoming) to one day start feeling the urge to top, or vice versa. People change, preferences change, it’s nothing unusual. This, though, leads into the next question….
